On-site laboratory

Haematology and biochemistry analysers, urinalysis, a microscope for cytology — critical values are available within minutes.

How the device is built

What the laboratory consists of

Click or hover over a part. The descriptions appear one after another.

  1. 2Haematology analyser

Complete blood count: number and types of blood cells, haematocrit, platelets.

  2. 1Biochemistry analyser

A biochemistry panel from a single blood sample: kidneys, liver, glucose, electrolytes, proteins. The result is usually available the same day.

  1. 4Microscope

Assessment of blood smears, urine sediment and cytology during the same visit.

  2. 3Centrifuge

Separates plasma or serum from the blood cells and prepares urine sediment for assessment.

What it is and how it works

Our own laboratory allows us to carry out a complete blood count, a biochemistry panel (kidneys, liver, glucose, electrolytes), a urinalysis with sediment, and microscopic assessment of smears and cytology during a single visit. Specialist tests (histopathology, PCR, hormones) are sent to a reference laboratory, with the results received into the patient's record.

What it offers

For the animal and the owner

A result during the visit means a decision during the visit; there is no need to come back in two days to hear what happens next. In emergencies this is often the deciding difference.

In the diagnostic process

Pre-anaesthetic assessment (STD-01) requires up-to-date blood results; the on-site laboratory makes it possible to obtain them in the morning on the day of the procedure.
